At least in og re2 she stays true to her goal of finding Chris, in 2R Sherry wants to see where Claire lives, which is weird because she's a college student so presumably its a dorm lol. The terrible, corny, holding hands friendship walking into the sunset nonsense is the dumbest change 2R made.

I know right? She looks good but apparently her frowning in a situation where her and her coworkers were being held hostage and experimented on is a step too far and she needs to be less intense lol.

I also don't remember any other characters being mentioned by name in dialogue other than Chris. Barry is mentioned in a file Marvin wrote when arranging Leon's welcome party. Claire and Ada are referenced via charms and as far as I know and I'd be happy to be corrected, Jill and Rebecca get nothing

You'd think with Lady Dimitrescu's popularity that Capcom would finally get that the West loves Milfs, hopefully one day they'll understand.

This is from personal experience back in the day, I saw complaints about how old and ugly Claire looked, you can still see evidence of this on GameFAQs and Reddit. There was enough backlash Capcom changed her appearance in an official render to frown less lol. Hers the comparison.

Raccoon City was her home, she almost saved it but failed at the last minute, she took down Umbrella with Chris, she's already shown to be self sacrificing and she was actually infected with the T-Virus unlike Leon and RE9 says being vaccinated will not save you from the new infection!

Bafflingly enough the director of RE9 has said he really enjoys Leon and Ada's relationship which makes it even stranger she isn't involved in this story. I stand by my belief that Jill should've been the protagonist of RE9 instead of Leon.

Yeah it's not the worst. I have my criticisms about the writing and lack of certain characters but it was silly and fun and I found the ending a very interesting change to the status quo.

They'll excuse it with more remakes but that doesn't make up for the fact our ladies have been left behind. With Claire they have the perfect opportunity for more personal stories with Terrasave helping victims, Jill should be helping Chris with the BSAA but no, why do that?🙃

I mean thats certainly true but it is still an issue related to sexism. With the RE team they don't want to show the legacy RE ladies as middle aged because when they designed Claire to look 30 in Rev 2 there was a huge blowback about her design.

Its a real shame because the game has a lot of reverence and homage to the series as a whole but drops the ball with the ladies other than Grace.

RE only let's evil women age and has sidelined every female character in favour of a male one, there's definitely some issues lol

I can understand them bringing Leon back for RE9 since he's popular and has been stuck in remake land for a while but they have been consistently ignoring the legacy female characters since entering the RE engine era. Jill would've been perfect for RE9 and yet theres not a peep about her or Claire.

I was thinking about a little while back when you were talking about a certain plot aspect of Umbrella Corps and I brought up the Netflix show maybe foreshadowing something in relation to that. Needless to say when THAT character showed up I started cackling.

I'm still so baffled by 2R's ending man. Like they lifted so much content from Darkside Chronicles but didn't go for the more somber ending or have a end of credits scene of Leon being "recruited"? Or even set up CV? It's so bizarre in writing and tone. Why did Claire and Sherry hide in a bush???

They could demonstrate kindness from Leon and Claire by having them try to use a first aid spray or help Marvin with his wound in some way instead and have him refuse because he wants them to keep it for themselves.

It also takes roughly half a day to get to the hospital and Marvin has no knowledge of the cure. It's a writing choice to make Leon or Claire look kind but the problem is its an empty offer, of course they aren't dragging Marvin through the city to the hospital.

Yeah but Im saying this is a problem that 2R created in the first place that 4R has to try and fix to show Leon as an actual caring person. They could've had Leon explain the medallions and give Claire a radio at the gate but they have them spout empty platitudes instead.

Ada is aloof but not a sociopathic bitch in all of her other characterisations. In og RE2 she is focused on her mission and that's it until Leon saves her from Annette and then she begins to have a change of heart. 2R Ada relies on Leon for everything and is a huge asshole for no reason.

Personally I think they should've had Leon agree to help Ben, get the electronic parts, return to the cell, free Ben and then Mr X shows up and kills him and chases Leon while the zombies are let out if their cells. That way Mr X's reveal is a true surprise as well.

Him being distrustful of Ben isn't the issue, him saying he needs to get the Chief's permission during a zombie outbreak is. Like I said he never finds out Irons was still around, hell Marvin doesn't even mention him.

Ben has files in his cell that he could give Leon to prove he's telling the truth about investigating what's going on. Leon could pat him down through the bars if he was worried he had a weapon.

He then makes a jokey remark, "I guess the deal is on" afterwards. Og RE2 Leon is rude to Ben but then makes it clear if he wants to survive he'll have to come with him. He's then sad o er Ben dying and this event is part of the reason when he reunites with Ada that he tells her to stick with him.
