As a naturalist I always assumed that the broken nitrogen cycle will have an impact and that only 2% wildlife or old-growth forests will not carry us for much longer. Climate drought is not wrong but the water is mainly gone due to population growth in combination with meat & dairy consumption. 90% of water is used for agriculture and 70% of that for livestock. Iran used to be a vegetarian society in the past.
