I’m working on my next solo show and I’m very intentionally changing the way I’m working and trying something intentionally different. My style still just a lil different. Ive been working on this idea for a while and doing a bit more sketching.

Had an older container of clay i had wcdidentally packed away. I’m using as a crumb layer however, mixing that shit is rough on the hands. That shit is expensive so imma use it. Rip manitas 🤣

Charlie loves my blanket. I was washing it the other day and she would not settle down til it was out. She is such a small Frenchie which is good because she stayed smaller than bogey. Bogey loves and claims all blankets lol

They are! And it’s messing with my flow lol.

Yesss there this area the direct light doesn’t hit after 4-5 and before the sun is going down and the light is perfect but mosquitos come out during summer. They eat me alive. I moved spots this time but the light is still too high and the area has harsher shadows. Not awesome.

I’ve been experimenting with different times of day for taking pics with natural light and I am still figuring it out. The time I like the most is mosquito o’clock and they love me so it’s been annoying 🤣

Around this time of year I start thinking about how to find apricots that taste like my grandpas did. I’ve only found one close at a farmers market but store bought ones always pale by comparison.

I’m basically a dog bed now. Charlie likes to lay on top of me. I a big girl so I’m sure I’m comfy but I also think it’s how she keeps me from getting up or moving 🤣

New monsters incoming.

Was reorganizing and realized I had 2 boxes of incomplete sculptures, things I start but ran out of time or distracted and forgot. I’m focusing on finishing things up and even some stuff from my last solo I didn’t finish so I have some big stuff and small stuff that will be releasing soon.

Been doing more work on my website and adapting it to my current needs. Not my favorite but necessary.

The monsters were in the mood for a puerquito and a cookie this time around. Had fun making little sculpted baked goods this time around.

Doesn’t matter how we got here they have nothing but contempt for us and they will keep finding ways to move the line of who they go after.

And I don’t want to hear the “there’s a right way”, do you think they care as they pluck people off the streets. It was never about undocumented or not. They are picking up citizens too.

They voted for an actual criminal that had an immigrant that overstayed his visa that has become the richest man in the world from our govt money even working in the wh with unfettered access.

I’ve worked with immigrants with dubious documentation and I know people that made money off their labor while voting for this bullshit.
