Having known poly people of varying ages and experience throughout my life
this is sort of what I thought/ took away from their experiences, like it’s about expanding upon bountiful love not like “here’s my other boyfriend so you don’t feel pressure to be adequate”

That’s the vibe and it’s frustrating to me that he thinks he’s being reasonable and fair

He does not hence why I’m talking about this here..

You may be on to something but Im trying to extend him the same grace he is hopefully extending me

Well he wants me to have a new job that makes enough money that I can move in with him and split bills, like he wants a traditional partnership in that sense

Well one argument is that it gives me more wiggle room to do things at my own pace while he feels less trapped waiting for me to make progress

I’ve been moving towards applying for grad school but it’s been hard getting the prof refs bc I graduated in 2020

Well he says he wants to be able to root for me and help me with career moves but I’ve had decision paralysis on which direction to head in

Also to be clear I still live with my family, so his bills are his own but also the lack of independence on my part is understandably not sexy
