i absolutely think the transgender liberalism that is espoused by people like judith butler has harmed us. the "identify-as" framework epistemologically erases us as a discriminated minority group with unique needs. they're illegalizing us and saying we can "simply choose not identify as trans".

Thank you for writing and publishing this! It's so frustrating to see a show that has caused so much harm to my community to be praised for finally criticizing someone in power instead of mocking vulnerable minorities.

What is confusing about that?

Do the critics not understand that that is the entire point of it?

Straight trans women are some of the most vulnerable members of the queer community. We can be rejected by queers AND cishets. We often end up desperate for support and validation. Cishet men are more likely see this vulnerability as an opportunity rather than something to protect. I just got lucky.

Its really gross so many cis people feel the need to come here to basically say “all lives matter.” Tone deaf af.

Its a lot less funny when you understand the intent is kill trans children. They don’t give a fuck about men with long hair and wont enforce it that way, what they care about is making trans lives unlivable.

This is also one of many reasons it doesn’t make any sense to believe that transhet women are more in harmony with heteronormativity than gay men are. If anything homophobia tends to falls HARDER on us.

It really would be nice if more dems actually had spines and cared about anything other than their “electability”

There is every reason in the world to be for trans inclusion in sports, but one of the most vital reasons is every single young person should be free to engage in sports with their friends and peers, and should never be singled out, excluded, ostracized, or otherwise made to feel other or aberrant.

This has been my experience. Anecdotally, a previous partner was fine with being perceived as gay and would pressure me to dress boyish in public but was embarrassed to be seen with me if I looked too trans. Obviously it didn’t last long. The stigma is real

With regards to Palestine it's often said to the newest Israeli atrocity that "no one cares because they're Palestinian", and the people who say this often get 1000s of likes. Clearly that isn't true—a lot of people do care. We need to be explicit about what the real problem is:
