Drizzle and wind accompanied us on our walk today, and we shall have two more freezing nights, the tail end of the big storm to our north. We lost an old friend during the previous storm, an oak that stood vigil here long before we arrived. We look forward to spring.

Ten months after my son Sean's death I'm beginning to feel like myself again. I have painfully learned so much in this time. He gave me so much in his life and death. I'm feeling happiness and joy again from time to time. More stable. I am healing but I miss him more each day. Gratitude and love.

So now I finally get it. Freedom in Amerca is another word for "nothing else to lose"
