#compsplatoon for visibility boost part 2

How would you nerf pencil while still maintaining it's power and role in enabling a lot of the comps that we see? I think that's a really interesting line to straddle game design wise.

Why exactly do you say that? I know splash is kinda getting outclassed by vdualie, but is it really just that the other shooter options aren't worth picking?

I feel this post in my soul. I'm gonna try switching to VDread in X just to see how to feels, but at the same time getting experience playing with crab and learning it's tech is really important. I don't know how to approach both climbing X and getting better for comp.

We will see if the predictions hold true. I won't be able to play nearly as much going into the school year, which does complicate this quite a bit, but I will try.

I think that it could be because it has a smaller hitbox (correct me if I'm wrong), although I think bamboo has the same hitbox so idk.

I think the important part is that you know you can be better, and you have the resolve to get there. The fact you care so much (to me) means that you've invested in yourself, which can do wonders in the long run.

A day later and this is still crazy to me. I finally have a tournament result. And it was post finals lmao. Having a pencil that can pull out triples and a range that knows when to play slow makes this comp divine. Hoping to get more wins!

Oh you bet. This comp feels so good, because it feels like any of us can play to every role. I don't know how optimal this is, but it is really motivating to have people as dedicated as I am. Although I guess we're getting FTIU banned later lmao

First tournament win I've had since joining comp splatoon in October 2023. There is only joy. Love all my teammates, (especially the emote that was peak), heres to more wins in the future.
