While I am not running the Chicago marathon this year, I did just summit chorizo mountain.

Wants to be a Gambit, is a Cyclops.

I love Chicago as a Chicagoan. And I love New York as a non-New Yorker. Big difference.

Quick little writing thing: Solved vs Resolved. What's the difference?

You solve a puzzle.
You resolve a conflict.

Solved: there’s a right answer.
Resolved: there’s closure, even if it’s not perfect.

Solving = analysis. (You solved a crime.)
Resolving = judgment. (You resolved a dispute.)

In six years, I’ve had one sip of alcohol—an accidental taste of a margarita at a bar during a work function when two drinks got mixed up—and it tasted so f’ing bad. Just like a vial of chemicals. That’s how I know it’s truly over for me.

The new NIN score has a similar spirit but dirtier, more industrial. Which works.
