Bravo to the plaintiffs in Guatemala who couldn’t be with us (we celebrated together in May). Bravo to Cory & Murray and Grahame and all the activists & supporters, who over the past 14 yrs offered solidarity in action, solidarity through financial support & solidarity through accompaniment. 3/3

Rights Action Funding & supporting human rights & justice, land & environment defense struggles in Guatemala & Honduras

Grahame published a report that you can access for free at rightsaction.org or you can contact me for a beautiful paper version for $10. I am bringing home a nice stack to sell to cover their costs.

What a victory!

And thanks to Grahame and Camila for hosting us. A house full of hope and love. 2/

I was thrilled that Will & I could join this evening organised by Amnesty International to hear from Grahame Russell, Cory Wanless & Murray Klippenstein to recount how they “won the landmark Hudbay Minerals lawsuits in Canada and the Mynor Padilla criminal trial in Guatemala, and at what cost.” 1/

The president of the United States just declared war, actual military war, not a metaphorical one, on a major American city, and one governed by his political opponents.

In any other period, this would be impeachment-worthy.

Given the literal definition of deportation is removing a foreigner or noncitizen from the country, we - journalists, media orgs - should probably all stop referring to the ‘deportation’ of a 2 year old US citizen. It’s NOT a deportation.

I’m not sure what it is. A kidnapping?

Trump Says They’re Foreign Gang Members. Are They? Podcast Episode · The Daily · 04/23/2025 · 29m

“They have essentially, for public purposes, been disappeared.” Yes, but they have also been, *legally speaking,* forcibly disappeared. Enforced disappearance is not a term of art. It is a human rights violation that can amount to a crime against humanity: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...
