There's part of this I haven't even heard yet! Because we went so long I had to fuckin' leave at one point lolol! This shit brings the house down and we had so much exhausting, exhaustive fun doing it.

Check this one out only if you absolutely positively have to hear everything about Clerks II, and about Rob's trip to visit Kevin (Smith) and Brian (O'Halloran), recounted in loving and entertaining detail to Kevin (Gray) and Brian (Schmid). :P <3

We grabbed our Unofficial Third Host Kevin Gray, who has a similarly reverent love for the film, and Rob's running things on this one, so we go looooong, SICKOS ONLY. (For the record, Clerks was also deeply important to me as a teenager as well, but nothing like these boys feel)

CLERKS II absolutely did not make the top 50 (or even the top 100!) of the 2006 box office, but it was a film and director so deeply near and dear to Rob's heart, and a really cool experience so worth hearing about, so we had to do an episode on it.

This is a film that thinks dogs are inherently compelling and sympathetic, and also still expects you to care if Jason Biggs is actually getting laid or not!

We had SO MUCH FUN on this episode, way more than you'd think for the topic, Doug is always such an excellent guest. Check it out!

This film embodies that extremely American senses of obsessive dog worship and sanitized half-measures, a film too intense for kids but too stupid for adults, that wants you to be invested in the dogs' mortal peril but doesn't actually want to show you too much peril!

We discuss our personal affinity or lack thereof towards our four-legged friends, and delve into a work that takes a true story of tragedy and perseverance seminal to midcentury Japanese culture, and removes most of the tragedy and all the Japanese people, and expects you to still be moved!
