As the laid off Middle East News Editor, I concur. Management eliminated the positions of every single staff correspondent and bureau chief in the Middle East.

America’s teachers are working two jobs and barely getting by | CNN Business Ashley loves her day job teaching math, reading and science to fifth-graders in Washington. But like many other teachers, Ashley relies on a side hustle or two to get by.

The overwhelming majority of American public school teachers (71%) hold at least one side job, according to a new survey released today.

Women LEAD. Women ORGANIZE. Women WIN.

And yet β€” women are still underpaid, pushed out of leadership, & forced to fight for rights we already won.

Women workers have always driven progress. Now we’re defending it.

This #WomensHistoryMonth, we don’t just honor women’s leadership. We protect it.

BREAKING: The Oregon House has passed HB 4027, which creates sustainable funding for the state Bureau of Labor & Industries to protect working Oregonians.

Tell the Oregon Senate to join the House and pass the bill as well. Oregon workers deserve a well funded and functioning labor bureau.

I know the system is new. But I was under the impression that it was for the City Council and Mayor to make policy "commitments" and for the City Manager to carry those through. *Not* for the City Manager to decide what the City's commitments are.
