in fact, i prefer to fill out crosswords in lowercase so i don’t feel like they are yelling at me and yet here i have used big letters. the things i do for my adoring subjects 😇

imo the easiest clues to get started are:
17D: old school clue, prob been used by hundreds of setters
22D: “audibly” is a classic homophone indicator
14D: if you get the reference
30A: if you can figure out a rapper that fits the pattern 5, 3 7 and backward engineer the parsing, a common tactic
