Another illustration of the system is that this fool thinks he can regain his media perch, when he should just take his millions and stay permanently invisible. Yet another - it is probably because he goes to various society events and doesn't get shunned.

Thing is, not even a loner misanthrope like me can "live my life" without being impacted by others. Though everyone needs to balance "being informed" versus "being overwhelmed, degraded, and depressed", it seems that some degree of "keeping up with developments" is prudent.

To be clear - getting rid of Trump and ICE are of course necessary, but don't change the underlying trends that brought us to this point - over many decades.

Amazing (and good) how people get worked up about individual symptoms such as ICE cruelty, yet rarely connect it to the bigger picture (fascism, narcissism, oligarchy, taxation, technology, human behavior). Getting rid of ICE, or Trump, has small impact without systemic changes in values.
