We encourage reviewers to remember that Kairos reviews are innovative in form as well as content, and we promote alternative modes of reviewing texts, such as video or audio (e.g. podcasts, sonic rhetoric projects, interviews).

All webtexts should take advantage of the Web as a medium to present information in ways that traditional scholarly texts cannot. (Please see our list of past award winners for some excellent examples: kairos.technorhetoric.net/awards/pastw...)

Webtexts are texts authored specifically for publication on the WWW. They can be scholarly examinations, individual & collaborative reviews, interactive exchanges between scholars, teachers, and practitioners, or extended interviews with leading scholars.

Until our nomination deadline of March 15, Kairos will be spotlighting specific categories from our annual awards. Today we want to spotlight the Best Webtext Award (which doesn’t have to be published in Kairos).

Nominees need not be at any particular stage of their career to be considered. The key criterion is whether the nominee exhibits Bill's philosophy of giving.
