For those not clued into British Transphobia, the Women's Institute (an 100 yr old campaign and social club for women) is being threatened with legal action over inclusive policies. It sent out a form this month asking all members to sign and declare their birth gender.

This is a village WI in Suffolk, not a radical hotbed of progressive woke multiculturalism. But transphobia just doesn't play when the demonisation has failed - these older women are not scared of trans people! And they feel demeaned by invasive questions about their own identities and bodies

Called my mum yesterday to talk about the new baby in the family. But she really wanted to talk about how her WI committee are up in arms about the transphobic new rules being implemented. Youngest member 60, and they're willing to shut it all down over trans inclusion. I'm so proud 💜
