FFT had the ability to view all upcoming turns and was dynamic with how you could manipulate them. It just didn't have them displayed on screen at all times. Grandia kind of had this too, but it was a more active game with how units move around and animate.

"This game sucks" and "this game isn't worth $60" are two very different statements. I usually never think about a game's price or length when giving my opinions on it. I'm talking about the game itself, not my emotional response to wasting money on it, or the perceived value of time vs money spent.

There's a lot of stuff I need to test in terms of weird behaviors and bugs compared to before. Many crashes seem to have been fixed, but the Fenrir fight is one that should probably be looked at. It's very easy to crash the game there by switching the loadout when you shouldn't be able to.

You can increase item limits as much as you want by looping Save->Drink Pass etc->Load. I know on the previous patch loading from the main menu would behave differently compared to loading from the ingame menu. For speedruns this means many more Oils and Clocks are available to use.

Well, the big Keylocker update from July didn't end up fixing the biggest bug that allows the speedrun route to work, so I guess i'm finishing it after all. The funny thing about it is that the patch notes specifically state it was fixed, so I assumed it would require a full reroute.

Racing Lagoon turned out to be a fantastic game, highly recommend. The cutscene/story direction is kind of insane and the music is incredible. Just be prepared to repeat race tracks more than you might like to.

I think the plan is to do a carrie run mid year sometime then do legacy next oct, so we'll find out.

I don't know how much the character switch would change; I was struggling with momentum/slippery reinhardt platforming. Also changing direction or whipping often caused unwanted sidesteps/ backsteps. I assume carrie wouldn't have issues getting her attacks to hit like rein's whip does sometimes.

Castlevania 64 made me a bit sad because it has so much cool shit in it, but it just plays and controls like ass.

Briefly tested FFT Classic mode on the new patch and definitely noticed a difference in the sfx. They fixed the basic attack sound to be accurate to PS1 and Bolt also sounds good now. Equipping still way too quiet and some stuff still has a bit of twang to it, but it's overall much better.

It might be time to return to rabbit game soon, huh.

Missed opportunity to use wsplit or llanfair

I have seen people treat this game like a kusoge when really its main issue is that it's not Rondo. I would still rather play CV4 or Bloodlines over it, but it's also not bad.

FF7 main theme gotta be the best world map song. Still can't believe they replaced it with the boring meteor song during endgame.
