Scaling Barriers, Diminishing Returns and the Great AI Ceiling of Over-Promises 2025 is likely to have some surprises in store of us with regards to Generative AI's latest and greatest frontier LLMs.

Second article this week discussing the potential plateau in the scaling optimism and the smaller than expected performance jumps in LLM capabilities. Interested to read The Singularity is Nearer by Ray Kurzweil to see his thoughts on AGI for 2029.
