Kind of sounds like American Truck Simulator haha. I wish I could take ATS and swap the theming with jets, mechs, or really any vehicle that's customizable

Pretty much, just lerping through code. I also restrict how much the camera rolls and adjust the rates differently for each access depending on what feels good

The reticle positions are 3D coordinates that stick out in front of the ship, and then Godot has a function for converting 3D coords to 2D screen coords

Following the Kickstarter, I found myself experiencing the worst burnout Iโ€™ve felt since first pursuing game dev in 2020. Returning to dev was looking bleak until I started learning Godot, and it really feels like my passions align with 3D game development. As I continue learning 3D, I have a 2D prototype in the works that I have yet to share, but itโ€™s something Iโ€™m excited about. From now on I will probably avoid frequent posting until I have playable demos of my projects ready. Flightless Fables suffered from this, as even in its current state, itโ€™s still very far from being playable. I want to bring the world of Flightless Fables to life in some capacity - whether thatโ€™s 3D, 2D, or something that resembles the current game as you know it. FF actually started out as a top-down Zelda style project. I also think itโ€™s a world that could shine in 3D some day.
