I cut my hair using a butterfly cut tutorial. The weight of my hair was pulling my curls straight, and it needed a split ends trim. Well, I cut two inches off most of it and 4 inches off for shorter face framing layers. You can barely tell, but now it's curly again and easier for me to manage.

Bad day, but the cats are sweet. Max was a good boy about the litter box overnight . Josie threw a fit over her food that she's liked for a week.

A small brown tabby named Josie is on her human's lap. Her brother Max, a black cat, tried to fit on said lap too, but he was too long to completely fit.

He's had a mostly positive week. A couple of minor accidents, but I've worked on him telling me when he needs help and he's done well. One dementia day where he got lost and cried for help, but he did recognize me when I went to help him. Max and Josie had a cuddle session on my lap, too.

He did his creaky, loud Siamese meow and purred.

Max has been having a string of good days with only one dementia day this last week. He's asked to cuddle, I've been working with him on litter box retraining and making the box tough to hang out of or only go halfway in. He actually showed up to sleep on his fleece mat on the bed the last few days

Oh, the millet congee with jujubes is so good. The infused honey and white miso just adds so much flavor. I added a bit of shredded ginger, too.

Channeling Zhang Ping the Noodle Detective and making millet jujube congee in my rice cooker for breakfast tomorrow. I added a little white miso & some tumeric and ginger infused honey. My thrift store luck gave me a Zojirushi Neurofuzzy rice cooker for $10 several years ago, which makes this easy.

I found a vet who can help today. I can text and schedule it the next day after a confirmation exam. I can have Josie present too so we can all say goodbye when it's time. He had a great day today where he played with and cuddled Josie,but the fact it's easy and quick to schedule gives me peace.

Jujubes were available at the Asian market today and now I can make sweet congee.

I hate when businesses don't answer the phone. It seems to have become more common lately and this is not something I can delay for much longer.

Max has let me know. This hurts. The only vets who answered charge anywhere from $500 to $700 and they're not close by. I need the other vet hospitals and pet organizations to answer the phone or respond to my messages because they're more affordable and have mobile services.

Josie is expensive for a younger 5lb cat. She has malformed teeth, IBD and gets gastritis at least three times a year, which requires specific meds that are cat safe and expensive. She's also an FIP survivor which means a spendy exam every year. She's why I have a Care Credit account.

Dear streaming services, stop putting a tag declaring what language a character is speaking over the translated text showing what they're saying. It often stays there the entire time, blocking important information. Put it right above the translation. You can do better.

My success this week was having a good physical therapy session and talking to some of the physical therapists that have helped me since I was first injured and were pleased to see my progress.

If you're gluten free, I highly recommend Siete's cookies. The Mexican shortbread and Mexican Wedding cookies are so good and surprisingly affordable for GF. They're also not greasy or overly sweet like many store bought GF cookies are.

Max had a bath. He really needed one. He doesn't mind. He had his first one when I brought him home to foster and he was filthy and burned. Now it's just part of our routine althoughl Josie prances and gloats while standing on the edge of the tub, because she doesn't need a bath. 🤣

They're the best. Josie is helping take care of Max. She bathes him and cuddles with him.

Thanks. It's tough. He's a good boy, and I'm so glad to have had him as my cat. I'm just sad it wasn't longer.

Today, I caught up on sleep. I had a mild migraine and a mild Crohn's flare. My cats kept me company, but I can see Max is declining further. It's not going to be long now. Ugh.

Well,the fever is gone, but I'm really tired after dealing with it. No more soreness in the Covid shot arm, either. Nurse Josie cat wants to sit with me while I watch TV like a zombie. Max is asleep in his guitar rack fort.

Well, maybe I should have split the vaccines up into 2 at a time instead of 4 at once. I have a fever, probably from the MMR or Tdap and an extremely sore left arm from the Covid vax. I am going to bed. Hope I feel better tomorrow. Hope you all are staying safe and doing OK.

All vaxxed. I didn't get a microchip or an embedded QR code for Satan or any of that ridiculous stuff people claim about the covid vaccine. I didn't even get X-Men mutant powers.

Getting vaxxed today for flu, covid, DPT and MMR because my titers are low for MMR and DP & I'm due for tetanus anyway.

They had gluten free coffee flavored shokupan slices at Grocery Outlet this morning. Of course I had to buy some. It wasn't as fluffy as I remember the wheat shokupan being,but it was still reasonably soft and delicious.

I'm devastated. And Josie is sad because her best friend is afraid of her 70% of the time. I knew when I adopted him that he was a senior and I might not have as much time as I'd like with him, but it still breaks my heart.

This morning, Max didn't recognize me or Josie. This afternoon, he did recognize us and acted like normal. I decided that he will be spoiled until Monday, and I'll call the mobile vet then if he continues like this. He's had two major accidents near his litterbox and he isn't eating as much. 💔

Thank you. Josie just tried to sit with Max again and he hid under a vintage medical table where she couldn't fit next to him and she cried and crawled into my arms in my bed where l hope he joins us soon. 🩵
