Hi, at the moment I'm reading the Forsyte Saga, first attempt at Galsworthy. I saw the series that was filmed 2002-2003 and to see what was included/excluded from the series.

It was my very first Die Walküre experience, and I'm completely hooked (on the whole Cycle, that is!). That Wotan-Brünnhilde scene in Act III is everything. So many nuanced emotions. My heart was bursting. I could see it 100x and not tire of it. I can't wait to see it again in May at the ROH!

As of now, there's no official announcement about recording this "Jenůfa" production. Keep an ear out though, productions with such praise often find their way to recordings. Corinne Winters is indeed a stunning talent!🎵

Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Price was educated at the New England Conservatory of Music, and was active in Chicago from 1927 until her death in 1953. Price is noted as the first African-American woman to be recognized as a symphonic composer, and the first to have a composition played by a major orchestra. Price composed over 300 works: four symphonies, four concertos, as well as choral works, art songs, chamber music and music for solo instruments. In 2009, a substantial collection of her works and papers was found in her abandoned summer home. 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the death of Benjamin Britten (1913-1976). Peter Grimes, the Serenade and War Requiem are among my all time favourite works. This year I'm going to try to listen to every Britten piece, in the order he wrote them. Why not join me? #TheCompleteBritten

👆Guernica was painted by Picasso in 1937 in response to the Nazi's blitzkrieg on that town that killed or wounded 1/3 of the city's citizens. It's said during WWII, a Nazi officer, saw a photo of Guernica in Picasso's Paris apartment, and asked "Did you do that?" Picasso replied, "No. You did."
