I've been watching some G1 Transformers every once in a while and it makes me feel insane because the inconsistent sound mixing, the shot framing, and the dialogue all makes it feel like a cheaply dubbed anime.

...and how they would be impacted by this. It's not like they can stop making videos indefinitely, either. At this point youtube is almost akin to infrastructure. You can't really boycott that and have the desired effect. There has to be a more direct approach...the question is what, exactly.

The biggest issue I see is, does it really count as a dent? There's too many users worldwide that are completely unaware, and even so, normal growth could mitigate it so much they don't even notice it in numbers.

That's without even going into content creators who make their lifelihood off yt...

There has to be a more effective way to go about this. I know Youtube doesn't really have phone numbers you can call, but that works due to how disruptive it is... a few hundred thousand people not engaging with a platform that has 122 million active users per day does not impact operations much.

"Participating" in it just to not break rank and also having a guilt complex, but the whole Youtube Blackout thing is a strategically unsound initiative.

It's just a matter of scale. Too many people use the platform to viably rally enough participation for the effects to be impactful.

I've been reading some of the Energon Universe comics (cause Transformers by DWJ is just Elder God tier) and I really hope we can get figures of these versions of Beachcomber and Baroness.

#BokuNatsu Day 6. Met a new guest! Mostly was a pretty slow day, though. Visited the clinic and learned Gramps was an internist. Talked a bit to the ferryman. But most importantly, stumbled onto cute cats!

During the night, Big Sis and Little Sis visited to use the bath. That I found very charming.
