I find the viral NPD dialogue is only helpful to understand abuse from the perspective of an abuse victim. I suspect it is also potentially harmful to a victim of abuse by offering the narrow explaination of NPD. I can’t see how it is helpful to anyone with NPD.

I wish people would stop using it as a place hold word for “abuser” it’s avoidance, surely? We can give words to the structures of abuse…and not have to single out a hard to Dx condition as if that’s the sole reason for abuse in the world. Idk just a thought.
