He’s also Project Director of Teaching Korean History Through Amazing Objects and a former National Lead for History at Ofsted, with over three decades of experience inspiring excellence in history teaching across schools, museums, and heritage organisations.

Michael is one of the UK’s leading figures in history and heritage education — Director of Maddison Education Consultancy, Chair of Trustees at the Heritage Education Trust (home of the Sandford Award), and Deputy President of the @histassoc.bsky.social
