I don't think I can give up on this idea to re-record.

I just want to keep making stuff, whether it's books, songs or (one day, hopefully) drawings or paintings.

Okay then, time to log off soon and wrack my brain to make some plans.

a great royalty payment isn't coming. Not while America* slides deeper into its decay.

Not to mention, I haven't released anything new in a fair while, so I have nothing to offer.

America obviously has more *very* real problems than the one I'm trying to solve, but

that I have to think everything through.

Should/How can I make this happen in 2026?

Whoever I ask for help *absolutely* needs to be paid for their time

But I need to get a 'better than average' royalty payment from my writing, in order for the re-recording to happen.

And I know that

I'm reminded (most keenly today) that simply waiting for the 'right circumstances' is a big risk.

There's no right time unless I make one.

It's not easy to make it happen, but one song is over 20 years old and it's just stayed with me. I feel like I owe it to that song especially XD

This means

I've had 3 demos from my old band sitting in a folder for years - waiting for the right circumstances to re-record.

We never did them in the studio, but they're fun songs and I could do them more justice now. (Both in terms of my harsh and clean vocals).

However -

Hit the limits of my juggling.

Have taken on too much (again XD) and so something has to be shelved - it's going to be the metal song, sadly.

"Shelved" means "delayed", I guess - but I don't know for how long. (Either that, or I grind myself into the ground to get it finished in March)

Viridian is holding golden scales in the right hand, and her sword in the left. She is wearing armour, sitting on golden clouds, a golden halo shining behind her head. On the top of the frame, another sword engulfed by flames is shown. By her side, there are her two tigers. They are black with silver stripes.

Mosaic is wearing a long dress, floating elegantly as they touch fragmented stained glass. Her body is covered in coloured scales on the face, neck, and shoulders. Forearms and legs are fully scaled like the tail. The frame features a sunset and a sunrise on the two sides, stars glimmer at the bottom.
