The extent to which mainstream conservative Christianity in America has been co-opted by the fringe right has really shocked me. If it’s a fringe minority I’m seeing only, therein lies the problem. Where are the evangelical Christian leaders and churches speaking out against this regime?

A very large portion of the American population, especially in the south, go to church on Sundays where they nod and agree with the pastor.

Then they go home and turn on Fox News all week and nod and agree with what they see.
