For me it's the way the press pool just quietly went along with it because he's the president

The entire point of this country is that we don't have to let some guy do whatever he wants just because of his title. We don't have to respect him or go along with him just because he holds an office

People have largely tried to act like ICE/CBP failed and retreated from LA and that is completely untrue. If it weren’t for the relentless coverage of places like @lataco.bsky.social these stories would be completely under the radar.

AOC: Trump has been saying the economy is booming, but it’s really only seven tech companies. They’re driving this growth in just one sector: AI.

So the entire economic growth can be tracked down to seven companies and their AI expansion…

In case folks forgot what happened, Khashoggi entered a Saudi consulate in Istanbul to get a document so he could get married while his fiancée waited outside. He never left because he was murdered and dismembered with a bone saw inside the building. The US intel community said MBS ordered it.

The crime is not what we were doing protesting in the 10th floor elevator lobby of 26 Federal Plaza.

The crime is what ICE agents are doing on the other side of the door.

Ring’s Jamie Siminoff thinks AI can reduce crime The head of smart camera maker Ring on why he returned to Amazon, and what he thinks AI can do for home security.

This interview w/ Ring's pro-police surveillance CEO is deceptive in a number of ways.

He seems to suggest police can *only* get footage if you agree to share it, but makes no mention of what happens if police present a warrant straight to Ring.

18.11.2025 21:04 — 👍 90    🔁 30    💬 3    📌 5

Bottom line: Ring wants to make money & police want surveillance. They will work together to sell cameras. Awareness of your space is nice, but no one has shown that that much surveillance actually makes towns safer. Gets some convictions? Maybe. Prevents crime and lower crime rates all around? No!

Is it a threat to free speech when the President of the United States threatens to yank the broadcast license of a channel whose reporters are asking him challenging questions?

I ask because I feel like there used to be tons of pundits worried about free speech. Where'd they go?

I cannot overemphasize that Marjorie Taylor Greene, Carlson, and Fuentes see a 2028 path to victory that involves building an isolationist populist coalition that traffics heavily in antisemitism and exploits existing negative sentiment against Israel.

We have to be SHARP on the left right now.

Video catches wild wolf pulling in crab trap to get to food—but is it tool use? Many animals have been observed using tools. For example, chimps tear leaves off of branches and stick them into holes to pull out termites, and wild dingoes have been observed moving objects to stand on to get to another area.

A wild wolf was recorded pulling a crab trap ashore to access bait, raising questions about whether this behavior qualifies as tool use and offering new insights into animal problem-solving abilities. doi.org/hbbsd8
