This was a difficult one as it was low down on the southern horizon and I just had a small gap between my neighbors chimney and some trees.

NGC 2237, this nebula now has just over an hours data in total.
I will have to wait until next year to add to it, as it's disappearing behind the roof now.

M101, I have managed just under 2 hours of data on this target and hope to get some more tonight.

I managed a bit more data on M51 and hopefully will get more tonight.

Not the best image, but seeing as this was taken between the branches of my neighbours tree, I'm happy with it.
This will be a better target later on as it rises above the tree tops.

The Flaming Star Nebula
Between shooting the planets last night, I got nearly an hour of exposure on IC 405

My second target from last night was M 74

We finally had some clear skies last night.
Unfortunately my neighbours decided to light their log burner, which wiped out most of the southern sky..
So it was aim north for M 81, through the aroura, which gave me some interesting colour casts.

Thank you, I'm ending the year with covid, but I think I'm through the worst now. Hopefully my health will be a lot better and the clouds less frequent.

It's been a bit poor year for me. What with weather and a lengthy hospital stay meant I only managed a dozen or so sessions. Hopefully I can make up for it when the clouds finally clear.

That was me two evenings ago. The clouds cleared as the sun set, so I made sure all my batteries were charged and got everything ready.
As it got dark, the clouds rolled back in and it rained for the rest of the night. 😭

Another quick 20mins capture from between the clouds.
One day we will get a whole nights clear sky and I will be spoilt for choice. Until then I will remain ranting about the weather.

I was lucky enough to get a small break in the clouds and mist for this target.
Only 20 mins exposure time before the clouds came in again.

A cold winter sunset from my home.
It's rare to see the sun, so I can't complain.

I managed to get 26mins of exposure time on IC 434 the Horse Head Nebula, during a rare break in the clouds and rain, last night.

I managed to get about 24 mins with the Horse Head Nebula, before the clouds came back in.
At least I have got something to edit tomorrow. 😀
