i just looked up one of my old coworkers on ig bc i saw she left her job and uhhhh... she went full m*ga trad wife. yikes.

itll be fun in two months when they tell me "we missed you playing xyz game, sucks you werent around then" and i can tell them "oh no i watched you guys get in the vc every night and play it bc i actually am online but id hate to intrude since you clearly didnt want me there"

and even when i do take the initiative to say id like to participate, when the time comes if im not jumping around begging for attention, they assume i dont *want* to be included and silently do it without me. i respect myself and refuse to do that so i guess im out by default 😃

currently in a friend group where im always expected to initiate or ask to be included bc "im never around" (yes i am) but they never initiate talking to me so i never know whats going on to be able to ask to be included. get me the fuck out of here.

thinking about how my masters internship DURING COVID was remote but my boss was so crazy about in person meetings he had us come into the downtown office for a few hours each week and then was upset i didnt want to pay $100+/ month for the parking pass when he was only paying me $15/hr part time.
