I don't know what is covered under the SOFA agreement and I'm not going to research it but you can. As I understand it, the UK leases 12 RAF bases to the US Air Force under that agreement and that convenes responsibility for US activities on those bases to the US Air Force.

All the US airbases are RAF bases that are leased out. There are 12 that the US uses.

As I understand it any deployments from uk air bases are for defensive use only. Of course, tracking that is going to be interesting.

It's handled under the SOFA agreement. I think the actual soil remains UK property but the activities and responsibilities of what happens on the base itself fall under US jurisdiction so it's kind of outside UK jurisdiction to say what they can do on the base. As I understand things.

They are using their own airbases in the uk. You can’t control that. What you can control is use of uk airbases elsewhere as staging posts and use of uk military.
