Yesterday was a 15-hour trip to Bellingham for a 15-minute appointment. That was balanced by getting to see one of my oldest friends, and (among other delights) play crib under this tree.

For once, I'm rooting for the conservative path!

I use vanilla bean salt on my Holiday cookies, but never thought to try smoked.
For me, the smoked salt is a great substitute for soy sauce (allergy), so I guess I just pigeonholed it as 'savoury'.

I've received two, one unexpected, and both times it was a heavy mix of gratitude & sadness, and yes, a sprinkling of guilt.

Oooo, that sounds delish! Hmmm... I have a cherrywood smoked from the Salt Company that would be perfect with dark chocolate chips.

Almost never. I often lose internet, but can always tether to my cell, even if it gets a bit slow.

Wire basket packed with 4 bags of laundry, with a large, dirty backpack full of laundry leaning against it.

This is what a month on the road without laundry (but with housesitters) looks like.

Ah...yeah, good progressives are NOT cheap. Like the new frame, too. But have a special place in my sparkly rainbow heart for the iridescents.

Oooo, love the iridescent frames. I almost got those last round, but they weren't quite wide enough for my fave. They look *way* better on you!
