I've had a jolly time at the @britsoci.bsky.social sociology of religion conference today. Started with a morning swim, presented two papers - one on religion in older age & another on cultural disruption, & chatted with some fun and interesting people. The photo is me red and sweaty after the swim!

I love this, I'm so happy for you. Congratulations. While the saying goes, you should never judge a book by its cover, that is a beautiful cover! Very much looking forward to reading.

It was lovely to see you Hannah. Thanks for sharing this. I didn't get any photos so this is nice to look at on my train journey home.

Analysing interview data for the frailty and ethnicity study is proving as life affirming as the interviews themselves. Just got to a section of one transcript where we are talking about thoughts on death, the participant says, 'you might as well put me on the council tip'. Made me lol.

Feeling the post writing retreat blues today after three delightful and insanely productive days at Chapelgarth so I've set out on a walk. The lane I live on leads into beautiful farm land. It feels like I'm in a different country today #shouldhavewornshorts
