Whelp. My first run with The Regent went about as I would expect The Regent's first attempt at the tower would actually go: land on the planet, climb five floors, hit an elite, die.

Win with Silent in first run. Storm of Steel with Sword of Stone, tons of card draw, and Serpent Form. Each shiv was, like, 20 damage.

Might have gotten that first win way sooner if I hadn't kept trying to make Howl from Beyond work.

Phew. First win with Ironclad. Giant Rocks + Thrash is pretty fun!

Looks like I'm an uncle, now. Not sure I'm ready for the responsibility.

My biggest critique of Color Out of Space (2019) is, there actually is a reason why characters do apparently dumb and baffling shit, but you kind of have to think about it; so, in the moment, it just feels dumb and baffling.

I'd say that the Entomancer is welcome to suck all the shit, but, seeing as it's full of bugs, I'm not sure it isn't already doing that.

Great flick! I don't think I've seen a cosmic horror film that so successfully expresses the helplessness of the genre. To be sure, most of that stems from Colin Stetson's music, which is both bleak and beautiful. The script is a bit pulpy, but still good.

Learned about the story, Florentine Nights, and I really wish that more #ttrpg bards were crazed virtuosi summoning hell itself with the power of their playing.
