I’m really loving seeing my designs in mock-up templates. A nice distraction while I do the grunt work of setting up a business to actually sell designs on stuff like wallpapers, fabrics, stationery and homewares. Wackadoo

Sometimes I see old designs of mine out of context and go “gee I like that”, then remember it’s mine, which kind of makes me think that maybe I might be ok at this.

I am celebrating the small wins. I hit 23 followers here yesterday. I used the occasion to learn how to install fonts to use on Affinity Designer on my iPad. This font is one I designed based on a handwritten version of Courier I used on the envelopes for my wedding many moons ago

Hey Mo! Please add text to your posts to make it easier for people to tap on the post text to read comments. Without txt, tapping the photo just shows the photo. Without txt we have to tap the timestamp to read the comments and most people don’t know that.

I had the same problem. Tap the timestamp of the post and you’ll be able to see the post and its replies. When the person who posts doesn’t add text, the only thing you have to tap on is the image, but that only open up the image. So look for where it shows how old the post is and tap that. ❤️

Just realised what’s different about Bluesky! Peoples’ sentences make sense, and are mostly spelled correctly, and aren’t filled with people calling each other names! And people are looking for people with similar vibes rather than looking for someone to yell at. Yay! 🦋

Between the genocides, election results and imminent environmental collapse, a lot of people are grieving that so many people seem to be filled with hate. I wanted to remind those gentle hearts that there are still people who love.

Sometimes I like to imagine that the birds and wildlife that come to my yard are my overseers and I am their pet. They like to see me come outside to see that I’m ok. And they get so excited when I leave things out for them or talk to them: “Look at the cute little human trying to interact with us!”

My husband and I were talking about this only yesterday. Over my life, I’ve asked many people what was the best way to make a difference in society, and they’ve usually said “run for office, at any level”.

Please go outside and take photos of things in nature. It helps me. ❤️
