A coworker alerted me to the fact that—starting this week—you now have to buy credits from Adobe to use the generative AI tools in the professional software we already pay a subscription fee to access, even if it generates something worthless…this isn’t a productivity tool, it’s a slot machine.

Someone talk me out of dragging my ancient Intuos tablet with me to Hawaii so I don’t do more work on my work trip.

The millennial urge to buy property in the middle of nowhere and build a dream house where you have control over every decision vs the millennial reality of having no funds for such an endeavor.

Also the tree trimmers hired to take care of the trees around our apartment absolutely butchered them and got rid of all the shade we were enjoying so that means energy bill's gonna go up probably.

At least the pets have some sun spots I guess. Trying to find the (literal) bright side.

I think the garage-turned-house that took over 2 1/2 years to convert has a fire alarm battery alert going off.

The rest of the text is as follows: Source identifiers are used to track your activity on a site. Where you came from, what device you use, and even who you talk to. Whether it's written clearly in the url or tied to a random string of characters, it's assigned to your activity. When you send a link containing a source identifier to somebody and they click it, it signals to the website that you two are connected. And that data goes right back to the website operators, and thus their advertisers. Whenever you select "share" or "copy link" on a social app or website, it creates a link like this. If you give even the smallest shit about online privacy, it's important to remove them. Everything after the "?" symbol can be removed without issue, especially sections starting with "si=" or "utm_source="

Also going to Hawaii at the end of this month as a Local 839 delegate! I’m considering that a work trip but I’m so excited to spend time with my fellow union kin and meet folks from other locals. So yeah, lots of travel for me this year, probably moreso than any other time in my life.

After the shitshow that was the latter half of last year and the first few months of this one, it’s been nice to travel and enjoy life at a different pace. Between Colorado, Vegas, Idyllwild, plus some other local day trips, I feel much more at ease than I have in a long time.

Going to an all inclusive resort with friends in September and it’s all I’ve been able to think about the last few days as planning begins in earnest.

The wait is going to make this an excruciating 2 months 🙃
