I wish the activists who heckled Blinken, protest outside Jewish hospitals with sick people or those still chanting right now in Times Square while an active genocide with chemical weapons goes on with silence. Why is it that #Sudan is so ignored? The US foot print diplomatically is there too….

You'll see an endless amount of footage pouring out of Gaza; some of it disturbing, some manipulative, some understandable - you'll see children being instructed to chant certain slogans that caused their misery & destruction. You'll see bad actors using traumatized people for propaganda.

Israel's war strategy & Netanyahu's criminality are precisely why Hamas is still in control of Gaza despite dropping the equivalent of multiple nukes' worth of explosive ordinance on the Strip. A continuation of the war would do nothing but kill civilians & fail to dislodge Hamas

From Gaza to New York, the Palestinian people seriously deserve better "journalists" and "activists" to stop glorifying terrorism, death cultism, war, suicidal armed resistance, and fake notions of "victory" after screaming about "genocide" for 15 months. We deserve better 💔🇵🇸

Why are 33 of my immediate & extended family members dead in the Gaza Strip? Why are tens of thousands of Palestinians dead & 75% of Gaza is destroyed? So Hamas terrorists could continue to rule the Strip? So that the Islamic Republic could "resist" Israel? Please explain to me💔

The prospect of a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of the hostages – which I’ve been calling & praying for over so many months – is a bright light amidst so much darkness.

My heart aches over so much loss and suffering, for both Israeli & Palestinian families – and it dares to hope a little, too.

Hamas will regain control of Gaza even while the IDF is there, just as fast as the Taliban took over Afghanistan before the US completed the withdrawal. They are literally remerging from displacement tents, as you can see in the 1st video, with uniforms, insignia, vehicles & guns

Mixed emotions. Hostages will return & while I pray for the day all the hostages are home with their loved ones (including those who have been unjustly held as Palestinian prisoners) I can’t help but feel deep sadness for the people of Gaza remain hostage to Hamas. It did not have to be this way.

The evidence of this has been clear for months, no one wants to listen. Whether it was the children in hospitals sprayed w/ bullets, videos of civilians being targeted w/ no apparent cause, or other testimonies. It needs to end. When will we wake up & realize the moral danger we are in as a people?

This insane brutality must end.

We can't decouple the authentic lived experience of the people most harmed in this conflict and political approaches to ending, eventually healing, and reconciling the conflict. We can't shy away from engaging our religions to reach people & help move from a state of war to a state of peace (20)

The event gave me a renewed perspective on what role religion has in peacemaking, and how are clergy across our faiths being engaged to support it? Dr. Alissa reminded me, we all share the human condition & our experiences are heavily influenced by religion, deep beliefs & clergy (19)

Policymakers have not been discussing how to engage with a faith-based approach to predominantly religious people. Instead, the focus for the past several decades became how we import our Western democracy by teaching it to the Middle East. (18)

Dr. Alissa put religion in a different light for me & reminded me of what I had discussed with my mentor, Dr. Ibahim, we could not separate religion & lived experiences from present and future political realities. This felt particularly profound as we approach the incoming Trump administration. (17)
