We don’t have the power to stop most of what is happening, but we can still act. We can support mutual aid efforts and welfare and advocacy orgs. We can organize. We can contact elected officials (202-224-3121).

they are trying to overwhelm us. don't let them. we wont give up. we're gonna win. it's going to take awhile, we're gonna get our asses kicked around a little, but we're gonna win. don't let the darkness of the moment blind you from the light of the future (it's so bright! i swear).

If you're feeling overwhelmed, it's intentional. They're calling it "flooding the zone." The intent is to overwhelm and exhaust us so we can not effectively resist. Something simple you can do right now now is to make sure to take breaks and rest.

Every act of courage matters now.

Don't leave it to someone else - an authority, someone with power. You need to be brave.

We always spoke of everyday kindness. What we need now is everyday courage.

I knew all this was going to happen. But nothing can really prepare you for what it feels like when the moment actually arrives. This is why we need each other and our communities. I plan to turn to them a lot in the coming years.

I know this sounds weak, I know it.

But kindness is one of the few things we carry that can make a difference for each other.

We can’t undo all this hate, but we can still make life a little easier for others.
