It really is bizarre to me that every single member of GOP House leadership & the admin has decided their coordinated talking point this week is that the No Kings demonstrations this Sat are essentially acts of domestic terrorism. Are they that afraid of free & peaceful assembly?

It is against international law to not render aid if there’s undue risk. No vessel (including military) can leave someone in the water. A Nazi vessel once rendered aid to the RMS Laconia, Hitler then created the “Laconia Order” forbidding rending aid to enemy at sea. It was determined a war crime.

I hope that other world democracies are noting very closely how ours is failing with increasing rapidity, and in doing so are fortifying their own to ensure it does not fall prey to the same tactics, like an entire political party being party to treason.
