Foods higher in protein can help, as can foods higher in natural sugars. Protein is a slower release of energy, so it keeps you sated longer, while sugars (and carbohydrates to a somewhat similar degree) are a quick release of energy, helping to cut the hunger for a short time.

You're certainly not alone in that. I've desired fluidity in my body from a very young age, and desire anything from small distinct changes to more broad overall changes daily, if not hourly. It feels restrictive and chafes, feeling locked into a static thing.
