Aloha Stephanie, all the private landowners voluntarily take on a share of responsibility. I founded the Kauaʻi Albatross Network with a primary intention of keeping private landowners connected with biologists, federal and state agencies and predator control folks.

In order to thrive—or even just survive—our species needs to practice a variety of new skills. One option? Figuring out how to fly vertically. Although this move is typically considered risky, the mōlī keeps her head horizontal to stay steady. That, and speed, and knowing the horizon she seeks.
