Couldn't find audio samples for all the voices - so had to create a script to create sample audios with all male voices. Its done. And it only took me ~5 hours!

Back to the project. First attempt to create an audiobook: Use Google Cloud Text to Speech.

The whole point to being a programmer is to spend 20 hours to build a tool that does something that will save you 5$. And believing it was completely worth it.

In my research phase, I found services that cost ~200$ that can create the audiobook for you - but where is the fun in that?

Also, I love audiobooks! I read 70(!) books last year - thanks to audiobooks at 2x speed.

Why? I consume almost all my books as Audiobooks - so its very odd to me that my own book doesn't have an audiobook version. I have to correct that.

The secret: Audiobooks at 2x speed. Fiction? I breeze through it. Non-fiction? Slower pace for note-taking, but still faster than visually reading.

I've been using Zettelkasten for about 4 years now, and I love it. Changed the way I learn things! Highly recommended.

About the workflow, I use Obsidian for my learning(and I publish those notes at notes.binnyva.com) and Logseq for my private notes. Both are maintained as separate vaults.
