Moving house and trying to get a nursery place in a new area, mid year for my two year old requires, so I’ve learned:

- at least 5 year’s notice
- only wanting space for 1 day a week
- a feather from a dodo
- a wing and a prayer

Honestly, after reading the horrific stuff coming out in the Epstein files I am truly SICK of men blaming women for *anything*.

A lot of what you said reinforces the point that for girls school = relationships. Belonging is crafted around their friendships/social aspect.
I think it’s very different for boys.
It’s also something to think about that despite all the issues you mention, girls still outperform boys. Interesting.

It’s all interesting when you think back that formal schooling STARTED with boys. Presumably no one cared about their enjoyment of it, they had to just sit up and listen or else they’d be caned.

Girls are happier than boys at school, new research shows. This is why Having more friends at school can make a major difference to a young student’s wellbeing

- Sure Start centres
- More youth community hubs
- MH support
- more support for parents
- community policing
- a better living wage
- more school support staff

Gonna try lots of deliberate practice on MWBs with sounds that are very similar (in Fr) and get them to write these down (do in groups of 3) and tell them ONE is grammatically incorrect, and they need to spot it.
Eg, “j’ai mangé / j’ai mangeais / j’aime manger” and see how they get on.

“Revise” vocabulary through the lens of Speaking or Writing. Revising family members? Do a photo card description. Revising hobbies? Do some sentence translation. Etc etc.
This will help when them doing L/R later on.

I would tend to agree.
If Ofsted want to know how my work is impacting on a school, they find that out when you inspect the school. Otherwise you’re going to need to inspect the school again when you look at the Trust I work for. That’s unfair on the school. Trusts ARE their schools. Not separate.

I would recommend a middle leadership role if not in one already, before going from teacher to AHT. I’d imagine most adverts would want someone who has some experience raising standards in their area first, before then asking you to scale that up whole-school.
