On your radio and in your ears.
Rather than part of what seems to be the birth of another superhero squad franchise? Yes.
03.08.2025 14:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Saw the new Superman movie last night. Best Superman film in decades. (Iβd say ever but I donβt want to disrespect the legacy of the late, great Christopher Reeve β a real-world super man)
02.08.2025 17:20 β π 10 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0"No matter where I lived, I knew this was guaranteed because after moving into a new place, weβd plug in our old box television, adjust the shitty little antenna just so, and voila, like magic, there was PBS. It was free."
02.08.2025 15:49 β π 8885 π 2457 π¬ 118 π 117The cashier at the grocery store told me my total for groceries was $173.34. I demanded they be fired and replaced with a cashier who will tell me I only owe $40.
This is what weβre doing now, right?
Another sad day for public broadcasting. It cannot be overstated that the people worst affected by the rescission of funding for public media are the millions of Americans that rely on local NPR/PBS stations for connection to the world.

And that's all she wrote. RFK bill passes on its first vote 9-3. (It still needs to pass at the leg meeting coming up immediately afterward, but that's a formality.)
The Council now gets a break until Sept. 17 (and so do us reporters!) Second and final vote is set for then.
Thatβs assuming a lot of compassion for federal employees from the administration that has taken a machete to the federal workforce.
01.08.2025 12:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0And donβt make me play the $1.1 billion in rescinded funding for public broadcasting card. That $200 million is nearly the entire annual allocation for CPB.
01.08.2025 11:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Eventually these 154,000 people wonβt be paid anymore because they are being laid off. $200 million for a ballroom at the White House, when the government claims itβs trying to slash spending, is staggering.
01.08.2025 11:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Wasnβt it Elon who said he would give $6.6 billion to the U.N. to solve world hunger if the U.N. came up with a plan for how to do it (which it did) and then he reneged?
Itβs not AI. Itβs not robots. Itβs resources and empathy that will solve hunger, poverty, and disease.
The Trump administration is spending $200 million to build a ballroom at the White House.
The administration is also slashing hundreds of thousands of federal jobs, millions in Medicaid funding, and adding trillions to the national debt.
Efficiency at its finest. π

31.07.2025 14:11 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So sorry to hear that. Again is great, they said. The golden years, they call it. I feel like I have gold bricks in my knee joints.

30.07.2025 13:34 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Watch the seismic waves from the magnitude 8.8 earthquake off the coast of Russia sweep beneath seismic stations in North America.
By the time the waves reached North America, they are far too small to be felt by people, but can still be detected by seismic instruments. π§ͺ
People are shocked that weather apps are inaccurate. Meteorology is not a perfect science. Itβs called a βforecast.β You want to know the weather, look out a window.

24.07.2025 15:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Do Tour de France spectators know that the cyclists can see them without said spectators dodging riders like theyβre charging bulls and waving flags in their faces? I donβt think they do.
24.07.2025 15:02 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 1 π 1π Iβm feeling moved by the lordβs work when you put it that way.
24.07.2025 13:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Until the Civil Rights movement, the majority of conservatives were okay with social welfare policy. Meaning, they were fine with food and income support, housing assistance, tuition assistance, etc, when it benefited whites almost exclusively.

Maybe itβs just me but I feel like faith leaders should write sermons without AI. Teachers wouldnβt accept written work from students who used AI for an assignment. Itβs strange to me that a congregation would accept an AI written sermon as an official word from god.
