Tocchet talked today about some of the tweaks the coaches made over the break to the Flyers' d-zone system.

"More aggressive. We're trying to make some guys have less decision-making. And if you can, I call it "squashing plays, you can have less decision-making."

Tocchet says Konecny and Seeler will likely be game-time decisions on Thursday. Dvorak and Ristolainen are both a little "banged up," but their absences today were more maintenance. Tomorrow is an off day.

Per Flyers PR, Ristolainen and Dvorak are having maintenance days today, that's why they missed practice.

Obviously Konecny and Seeler fall more into the "actual injuries" bucket.

Players not on the ice for practice today: Seeler, Ristolainen, Konecny, Dvorak. Everyone else is on the ice.

Don't see TK, Seeler or Ristolainen on the ice today. It's a bit of a split practice so far with d-men on one ice surface and forwards/goalies on the other.

Flyers practice at 12:30 PM today. Big question is whether their two injured guys -- Travis Konecny and Nick Seeler -- will be on the ice. Konecny practiced yesterday, so presumably his injury isn't THAT serious, but we'll see. Seeler missed the final 24 minutes of regulation last night & the OT.

Flyers win it in the shootout, taking full advantage of Zegras and Michkov's prowess in the situation and Vladar coming through in a big way. 3-2 final score.

And it's shootout time. Pretty entertaining OT session, especially the second half. But we're going to the skills competition.

Michkov gets the second shift in OT, so he is indeed back in the primary OT rotation for Tocchet, at least for now.

Leafs tie it on the PP. Vladar thought he had it covered, but the puck just got away from him. Leafs went back on the cycle, and then they got it over to Nylander for a one-timer. 2-2.

I know there's a spotlight on him so we're all paying closer attention than usual, but Rasmus Ristolainen looks really good tonight. Skating as well as he has all season long. The scouts in the building have to be impressed.

Flyers have hit two posts already in the third period. So close to taking the lead in this one.

1-1 after 40 minutes. Leafs were by far the better team in that stanza, had way more energy and took it to the Flyers. I would say the Flyers mostly kept the Leafs from creating dangerous chances, but they struggled to have much in the way of extended puck possession.

Leafs all over the Flyers to kick off the 2nd period. Guess Craig Berube really read his players the riot act between periods.

Case in point: Leafs had a 17.6% controlled entry rate at 5v5 in the first period (3 carry-ins, 14 dump-ins). And I didn't think the Flyers were putting on a gap control clinic or anything.

1-1 after 20 minutes. Flyers got the better of play, tie it late. I wouldn't say they played fantastic hockey or anything, but the Leafs for large portions of that period looked like they were sleepwalking.

Flyers tie on the power play, looked like Dvorak poked it in. I believe Denver Barkey picks up a secondary assist on the play, so he's on the scoreboard in his return home. Great to see. 1-1.

Toronto up 1-0. Dakota Joshua really sniped that one, right through Couturier's legs too.

With Konecny out of the lineup due to injury, the Flyers did put Michkov on a unit with Trevor Zegras. Owen Tippett, Bobby Brink and Jamie Drysdale were the others on the unit.
