We have to move beyond treating consent as a box to be ticked or a contract to be signed. We need to help young men understand consent as an ongoing, caring practice, rooted in empathy, respect, & genuine concern for the wellbeing of others. Teaching these values isn’t optional; it’s essential.

Last week’s verdict in the #HockeyCanada trial—where all accused were acquitted—has left many grappling with difficult questions about #consent, #justice, & the ongoing challenges facing young men and women in our culture.
