Ny steed for the day - the Marin Alpine Trail E2
I had my first go on an electric mountain bike today. Quite different to the 18 year old 26" hardtail I'm riding at the moment. I'm not sure if convinced about e-bikes for forest trails to be honest. It seemed very heavy! But cool tech, nice uphill, but I think I'll stick with "man power"
20.07.2025 22:45 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Looks awesome, nice car too! I need to do mine this weekend. This was after a day in the car park at Goodwood Festival of Speed. I'd cleaned it the day before too! ๐คฃ
12.07.2025 06:31 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I've got about 100 saved on the sky box, brilliant accompaniment to late night working ๐คฃ
04.05.2025 17:59 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Ah its probably different anyway, I don't think ours has a vent on the side. I guess that's the a difference between the Warrior and Arrow cowl. It might well be longer too.
01.05.2025 19:34 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Another 10 miles of The Essex Way completed this weekend, from Salts Green to Great Waltham. Lovely (very flat!) countryside and equally as good weather.
30.04.2025 06:48 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Out for a walk in the Essex countryside and thus beauty flew overhead at 3500ft. I do miss seeing the "jumbo jet"
27.04.2025 09:59 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ouch, not good but sounds like you've found yourselves a nice replacement. Our annual is mid summer, hopefully no major issues! Parts do seem to be a problem/expensive! Are you breaking your old plane for parts? I wonder if the engine cowl would suit a Warrior II?
26.04.2025 08:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0What was up with it? Got it back just in time for the weather to start improving!
26.04.2025 07:32 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Not all your time needs to be billable. I've listened to long podcasts while out on a walk or doing some home on the house. You can read books for enjoyment as well, it doesn't always have to be about gaining knowledge. Take a break occasionally ๐
21.04.2025 16:43 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0And reading books, watching films? Just summarise it all with AI? Where's the enjoyment in that?

Map of the route we covered, including most of the western portion, and all of the Eastern portion, of the Colchester orbital walk
Another training walk ahead of the Camino de Santiago later in the later. Thid time with the brother. We walked the West and East sections of the Colchester Orbital, just over 12 miles in total today.

Fox red labrador "Rosie" enjoying her walk. She doesn't really understand the concept of pacing herself and was very tired by the end!
Beautiful weather for a walk through the Essex countryside.
Passing through farmland, some deep tractor tracks to negotiate up a hill. Rosie dog looks on, as if wondering why we are taking so long.
Greenstead Church, near Chipping Ongar claims to be the oldest wooden church in the world, possibly as old as 1200 years! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greensted_Church
Started walking The Essex Way this weekend. First leg completed, 8 miles from Epping to Chipping Ongar. We will do another section next weekend, hope to complete the 82 miles over the next couple of months.
06.04.2025 17:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A fair bit of wind, 310 degrees at 19 knots gusting 29 knots. EGSR were on runway 24 today. Thankfully there were periods of lighter winds and it did back a little as the day went on.
This is your pilot speaking!
Piper PA28 parked outside the club house at Old Buckenham Airfield in Norfolk. The windsock in the background showing quite a wind! 300 @ 26kts as we joined the circuit (for runway 25) but thankfully dropped to 13kts on final ๐
Another day of decent weather, although a bit windy. Managed to get out in the plane for the third time this week. I'm making up for 3 months on the ground!

Ive not looked at CAF docs in a while as my focus hasn't been on Azure for some time, but I think it'd be very useful.
I've got a very similarly modified ALZ diagram in our internal docs around designing azure solutions ๐
