I'm glad these Battletech minis were useful for practicing your technique, and you have improved a lot! But don't forget about them yet. Someday, you may find classic Battletech is a much richer and more engaging game (and setting) than Warhammer could ever be, like I did!

That one was supposed to be an extra large fort when printed twice. I'm more fond of my 2in hex maps and the level of detail they have, however. I find working on this kind of project to be pretty fun.

I drew mine myself. I put some files online to be sold at hardwarestudios.co/vendor/2500k... , although I drew most of them with 2in hexes. I did upload another one with the regular sized hexes, but I baked my old buildings into it.

This setup was my update to that concept, with larger hexes and much more detailed. I need to find time to take updated pics with the latest thing I painted. Among them, a ferris wheel, a large HPG, and an anti orbital defense gun.

I'm partial to the #Battletech tables I worked on. Both the original system and the updated one with larger hexes and more detail. I have conceptualized a third iteration for a, much more complete terrain system for multi-level cities. If only I had spare time I could devote to developing it...

Yellow hot wheels Chimichanga truck

Three layers of yellow down, coverage is still meh, although overall results are a bit better :-(

Time for a 4th layer I guess.

I just always underpaint my minis with the shadow color over primer, then go with the main color leaving recessed areas uncovered, and end up with a highlight, so priming in yellow already would have me with nowhere to go for shadows and panel lines xD

Oh, I have undeprainted all the yellow areas with a warm light brown with decent coverage. But even then, the yellow will require like 4 layers to look half decent

First time painting pure yellow after avoiding it for so many years. Thanks, I hate it already. Runny paint combined with horrible coverage makes it a miserable experience.

At least, I have the excuse of the Hermit Crab not being released in plastic yet :-P

It makes too much sense. I have done 7 minis, wich means I'm one miniature short of two lances. The only mech is a king crab. A regular crab would fit like a glove as the leader of a second lance.

Why do you wish Ill on me? Have I wronged you in any way? :-P

I was supposedly done with that unit. Now, I'm working on three Gaslands cars (this truck and two more cars)

Once that's done, however, the trauma from painting dazzle camo might be distant enough for myself to fool me into a Crab...

The Adam West Batmobile

Repainted the Adam West Batmobile Hot Wheels car and added a pilot using a WW2 Flames of War infantry miniature.

I'll use this for #Gaslands

I'm honestly pretty proud of the result for a fast paintjob.

Actually no. I didn't even take them off the base. Just maneuvering around the cervices with the painting handle was enough

I finished the dazzle-style camo unit for #Battletech I was working on!

So here is a video with a 360° view of each of the 7 miniatures, 6 tanks and a King Crab.

I hope the hell that was laying out all these patterns was worth it!

I also want to paint Jade Falcon remnants, but freehanding falcons feels extremely intimidating. I wish there was a paintscheme that was more accesible for Chistu's true Falcons

Some greenstuff, a bit of paint here and there, and this WW2 soldier from Flames of War becomes Adam West's batman seating inside the hot wheels Batmobile.

This Gaslands team is going to be fun to showcase!
