I believe much more research needs to be done on the long-tail dynamics of conversations with LLMs--as I increasingly believe that their systems of producing "memory" and keeping conversations in context windows may be at the root of some of the instances of LLM psychosis we have seen.

I am interested in whether zero-shot LLMs converge to their users' political posture over time. However, to avoid exposing humans to harmful dynamics, I am simulating long-duration dialogues by using LLM dyads, where a "user" model is instructed to take on a persona randomly assigned as "treatment"
