Gonna be honest, I’m somewhat sad Iran couldn’t find a totally different and unrelated Ayatollah whose name was also extremely close to the prior guys

Is this a RETVRN architecture thing? The slides and equipment at our new playgrounds are a kind of greyish-green instead of bright red, "courthouses used to have Doric pillars but the new one are all Ionian!"

Like polling people in Rhode Island about congestion pricing in Manhattan. Don't know what they think, don't care what they think

So I was 10 years old when somebody decided it would be a good idea to take me to a zany Robin Williams/Nathan Lane romp. Hard to imagine what they were thinking but certainly explains a lot

Obviously I don't buy much gas but I do like using Upside to survey local gas prices, handy tool even if you aren't using it for discounts, especially when traveling which is when I do 99% of my driving

That Wolf Blitzer Tweet About D.C. Gas is Very Misleading A simple fact check lays it bare.

This is a very old routine. Here's a post from 2021 about Wolf Blitzer playing the same game charlotteclymer.substack.com/p/that-wolf-...

I know this and I don't even own a car. What baffles me is that people who DO own cars and should know what gas costs also pretend to fall for it. I don't really get it, does everyone think they're incredibly lucky and THEIR gas station hasn't raised prices yet but everyone else's has?

There's a network of downtown gas stations that always have gas for $1-2 more than the rest of the city and journalists love taking pictures there but it's just one dude who gouges people downtown. Gas does not actually cost $4.50 per gallon. Yet.

Over the holidays I played Legos with my 4-year-old nephew and I watched him round up all the sparkly crystalline bricks while whispering to himself β€œBeautiful. Beautiful. Only beautiful things” and this has become a permanent part of my lexicon

I think historians in the future will have a really good and clear idea of how such a thing was possible. People *today* act like they're mystified but everyone knows exactly what's happening and future historians will have even more documentation than we do!

Part of the reason "Breaking Bad" is one of the greatest TV shows of all time is that its central thesis, which feels true, is that there is a monster inside all human beings, and given the chance to come out, it will, indeed, come out.

Anyway, here's an article about a Let the Monster Out Factory.
