While Bibi can and does jerk Trump around, I don’t believe for a second the Trump admin was an unwilling rube here. I assume Rubio and Johnson are saying this so that they can pretend it was a preemptive attack and save a tiny bit of face internationally.

A lot of these Kuwait sites are logistics operations. I spent weeks going between this port and Arifjan at the end of my Iraq tour, getting our shit ready to send home on a boat. There aren't many hardened structures - I lived in a tent most of the time, and I doubt things are much better now.

It's secondary to the real issue of this attack on #Iran being an insane, ILLEGAL war, but the fact that a brave #American female pilot was shot down in #Kuwait must be driving #PeteHegseth crazy...er.

We don't have 200,000 people to roll in there. It would take months to transfer all the equipment and personnel. We have, like, one 4,000 person armor brigade in Kuwait.
