The overall objective of a stage is to take pictures of monsters to build a deck of cards.At the end of a the short 90 second stage , a curator is waiting, you have to chose 13 out of whatever your picture limit is to try and beat the score threshold set by the curator.

Ok so the workflow is going to be "design stages with 1 px thick pixels just to make sure that the animations work well and all the interactions between the camera and monsters are tidy.

Then double the outlines as post production thing!

This might not look like much, but I coded a scanline/flicker mimicking the Game Boy's 10 sprite per scanline limit, and draw order.

Had a lot of help from my rendering engineer girlfriend Vivian, for whom such code is a piece of cake. But I'm still proud. It's for a game.

I cant think of what to make the mermaid do at the end of it's puzzle segment. I might just make it dead ass reveal another monster. I'm just worried that the first stage will be too cluttered.

Mermaid is almost fully implemented! She's a micro tutorial in that snapping monsters multiple times might reveal shots that score more points (think of some of the pikachu events in snap 64).
